Trout & Feather Hosted Trip Policies

Trout & Feather hosted trips are built around small groups, pre-booked lodging, and reserved guide days. Commitment from each angler is essential to the success of the trip.

Each trip page outlines specific inclusions. In general, hosted trips include lodging, guiding, and stated meals. Airfare and personal gear are typically not included unless noted.

Please read the policies below before booking.

Deposits & Booking

  • A deposit (typically 25–50%) is required to secure your spot.

  • Your spot is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

Final Payment

  • Final payment is due 60 days prior to the trip start date.

  • If final payment is not received, your spot may be released.

Cancellation Policy

Because all lodging, guides, and logistics are reserved in advance, the following applies:

  • More than 90 days prior to the trip:
    Your deposit may be transferred to another angler or, at Trout & Feather’s discretion, applied to a future hosted trip.

  • Within 90 days of the trip:
    Payments are otherwise non-refundable unless your spot is filled by another angler.

  • Within 60 days of the trip:
    No refunds or credits will be issued.

Replacement Angler

If you cannot attend, you may send another angler in your place.

  • Replacement anglers must be approved.

  • You are responsible for finding the replacement.

  • Any remaining balance must be paid in full.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.

Coverage should include:

  • Trip cancellation/interruption

  • Medical coverage

  • Emergency evacuation

These trips involve significant planning and often take place in remote locations. Travel insurance is the best way to protect yourself if something unexpected comes up.

Weather Conditions

  • All trips run rain or shine.

  • Fishing conditions, weather, and water levels can vary, and are not grounds for cancellation or refund.

If we cancel a trip

In the rare case a trip must be canceled by Trout & Feather, you will receive:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to transfer to a future trip

Responsibility

Trout & Feather partners with independent outfitters, guides, and lodges. While we carefully select trusted partners, Trout & Feather is not responsible for acts, omissions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Agreement

By submitting a deposit, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
