Fly fishing and travel go together, and I have visited locations around the world to chase fish, experience adventure, and learn about new cultures. Some of those places have resonated with me, and it’s those ones that I want to share with you. Below is a listing of my current hosted trip. Lake Erie Steelhead

All skill levels

Prime-week steelhead on the fly in Lake Erie’s best tributaries.

Lake Erie Steelhead – Prime Week Group Trip

Chasing steelhead on the tributaries of Lake Erie is something I look forward to yearly. The thrill of hooking and fighting big rainbow trout on the fly never gets old. As the story goes, many other anglers also love this experience, and crowding is a common complaint for many who target fish in Steelhead Alley. So how could I change that script for a hosted script?

This trip is in collaboration with one of the best guides in the region, Captain Kurt Charters.

Simple: Partner with one of the best steelhead outfitters in the region, with access to premier waters in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. Now take it a step further—book during prime week, when steelhead scream from fly reels. The first weekend of November is consistently the peak. For over a decade, I’ve led groups to true bucket-list destinations like Iceland, Montana, and Alaska. I’m now proud to add the Lake Erie tributaries to that lineup, with a PRIME week reserved for just eight anglers to chase steelhead on the fly.

As with my other group trips, this is an all-inclusive experience, featuring a lodge for our group, prepared meals, professional guides, and all needed gear provided. In collaboration with Captain Kurt Charters, this is the Great Lakes steelhead exprience you expect. Plus, there’s also the possibility to add a day or two day of fishing on to either end. This is the trip you’ve been waiting for, come join me for an unforgettable weekend full of memories, fun, and lots of steelhead!

When the fish are active, a double is a common occurence, with both anglers landing a steelhead!

During the trip, we’ll focus on the most productive water for early November conditions, including a mix of private access and carefully selected public fisheries. Waters may include:

  • Private access

    • Private sections of Lake Erie tributaries

    • Stream fees included as part of the package

  • Pennsylvania tributaries:

    • Elk Creek
